Caro Creative is the brainchild of Caroline Shaw, MBA, a marketing professional with 15 years in the fashion and travel industry. 


Caro graduated with a BA in Anthropology + Religion from Boston University and MBA from Quantic. 


Caro Creative's business adventures include Versailles Thrift, an estate sale shop and design, Craftshop, a community co-creating movement and Craftshop Stays, an airbnb short term rental business.


Caro Creative also consults on branding, marketing and website building.

Caroline has produced photoshoots with Miraclesuit, Magicsuit, Eco Swim, Reebok, Everything But Water and Miskini (shown above).


After hands-on marketing and public relations in NYC, Caro moved to Sydney Australia and worked with the best of the best on sabbatical with Eve Miskin. After realizing her had not nabbed an Australian husband and had to move home, she reached out to Everything But Water and moved to Orlando, Florida where she did not know a single soul. That was 11 years ago.

    We like traveling, relaxing and living a good life. It's pretty basic and we like it. Creating a home, settling down and getting cozy is our thing. But so is world travel, exploration and science. 


    Both Caro and her husband Rich like to be creative and create spaces, host events and set the tone. Hostess with the mostest, Caro wants everyone to feel comfortable and have a good time.


    While hospitality comes naturally, Rich is more of the Chip to Caro's Joanna Gaines. He's aeronautics engineer at Kennedy Space Center by day and partner in crime with son Archie by night.

    Caro Creative has worked with Universal Hotels, Travel + Leisure, and Westgate Resorts. She has also worked for Miraclesuit Swimwear, Swim USA, Eco Swim and Everything But Water in the fashion industry. 


    From Manufacturing, Marketing, Public Relations to Digital Strategy, Website Design, Brand Creative... Caro Creative is now applying everything learned to the hospitality industry after finding her passion in renting her home on airbnb.


    We bring industry knowledge and analysis, world travel, and personal STR experience to our work. Caro is searching for a motel to makeover with investors who understand the short term rental business.

    Crafshop Orlando, a Vision Board Bar, Art Cafe and Thrift Shop. Our mission is to create inclusive 3rd space to gather (especially in the heat!), where the scene is low pressure, welcoming, and accessible for all. Craftshop becomes a hub for connection, creativity, resource boards and event nights...


    Third Spaces are coming back, especially ones that are kid-friendly while parents be merry. This isn't a competitive space in business, it's a welcoming one. 


    The more places to spread kindness the better.


    The more places to exchange instead of buy goods the better.

    Farm to Table Dining at ABC Carpet and Home Teaches Subtle Luxury

    Caro started off in the non-profit, corporate social responsibility space interning for luxury Manhattan home goods store, ABC Carpet and Home. After working upstairs marketing and fulfilling orders on charitable gifts for the holidays, a shift began at ABC Kitchen, a fine dining farm-to-table Jean Georges restaurant. While working there, ABC won it's first James Beard Award (celebration showed above!).


    We served popular fashion editors, celebrities (I've personally messed up the orders of The Kardashians, Jessica Simpson, Blake Lively, Owen Wilson, Jake Gyllenhaal, Steven Spielburg and Leonardo Dicaprio), catered dinner parties at fashion designers homes, and hosted then presidential candidate Barack Obama for a fundraiser.


    My favorite service was getting a last minute table for Brian Chesky, Founder of AIrbnb through his sister of whom I worked with in fashion editing. That's when I first learned about couch surfing and this new thing called Airbnb.

    Don't forget that shoppers are buying based on vibes - emotions. And if your photography stinks, so will your attitude.


    After checking all the boxes of Functional, Nice Looking, Right Price... Then after a Quality Check and a quick buzz over Reviews (especially if it looks too good to be true)... Consumers are using their buying power to purchase from their heart. 


    They'll spend more the more emotionally invested they become in the feeling they want to have during your experience. In order to convey that experience, you have to have the right content. 


    Don't skimp on Photography, Staging and Styling on set.

    Thrifting and Secondhand Business is Booming

    A record number of Americans bought secondhand apparel in 2024, and more than half of those shoppers made a purchase online, according to the 2025 ThredUp Resale report.


    Almost everyone we know has at least entered a Salvation Army, Goodwill or Habitat For Humanity Restore... or bargain basement (remember those!?)... or at least a yard sale.


    Everybody, absolutely everybody likes hunting for a deal.

    Caroline Shaw is different. Part Creative Director, Part Curator, Part Marketing Firestarter... Editor, Writer, Content Creator and Designer. Boxes are too small no matter the size. Plays well with mini dachshunds.


    Fun Fact 

    Caro has burnt out from every corporate job in her career. At the last hell hole, it only took me 6 days to have a panic attack from the stress. So, now I'm my own boss. It's better for everyone this way. I'm basically radioactive and must be in the garden most of the day to survive now.

    Lucky to have lived in the United States, Italy (study abroad Junior Year and Gap Year), Morocco (study abroad Gap Year), Australia and New Zealand.


    Now lives in Orlando Florida with her husband, two sausage dogs and feral toddler.


    To fuel her international relationships and deep inability to stop traveling, Caro worked through college at various restaurants and clubs around Boston, famously at Cask n'Flagon across from Fenway Park.

    Attended Fashion Institute of Technology and received a professional certificate for Eco Marketing. This is where Caro met the ECO SWIM team at Miraclesuit. Caro asked to intern and she started immediately on the new sustainable fashion swim line.


    While attending school, Caro served and hosted at multiple restaurants and clubs around Manhattan to make ends meet.

Everything from showroom management, public relations, photoshoots and styling came from this opportunity. Website design and digital marketing also fell under our responsibilities.


    Caro jumped from Eco Swim to Everything But Water, located in Orlando Florida in 2014.

    Drop everything you are doing and move to Sydney Australia. Stay with friends. Find a job. Work for yourself. Stay forever. That's what I tried to do in 2011. I almost succeeded too!


    Living in Sydney, Australia allowed Caro to achieve her dreams. She even found the most amazing holistic and very wealthy swimwear designer who needed help with all things operations of her small swimwear business. We ran it out of her home office in Tamarama, next to Bondi Beach. Every day when I finished fulfilling orders, posting on social media, finding influencers to send suits, create press releases, build a new website, schedule our next photoshoot, consult on design... It was book + beach for the rest of the day. Tops are optional at Bondi.


    She charged a small amount per hour to gain experience and took on more clients after hours. She almost sold ECO SWIM from a truck on the beaches of Sydney.

    After a few years building the marketing calendar, helping to produce photoshoots and create marketing materials... 


    After having learned visual merchandising and help to write the company's brand standards...


    After creating the brand's first influencer program through product launches such as 30th Anniversary Collection and Water is Everything...Caro left EBW in 2018 for Universal Orlando and worked there until 2021. Newly engaged and recently kicked out of their home for getting a puppy.


    There she trafficked all website jobs through to producers as web project manager, then became a rep covering Annual Pass, Express Pass, VIP, Resorts and Safety during Covid-19 before joining the Digital Product Marketing team. 


    There she launched Universal App new features and content.

    After COVID put a wrench in plans to conquer Theme Park and New Attractions Marketing, Caro moved on to Travel + Leisure Co / Wyndham Destinations and worked on their Timeshare products: Club Wyndham, Margaritaville Vacation Club with high hopes of transforming the vacation ownership (otherwise known as vacation club, timeshare or fractional ownership) industry into something more modern, with less hiccups in the sales process, and more product transparency for the customer. 


    Timeshare taught Caro about sales and call center operations within the hospitality industry, which built on hotel experience working with the Universal Hotels team.


    Strategies were produced to sell timeshare tour vacation packages current leads, as well as used as bait for lead generation. Caro helped launch the most successful lead acquisition tool ever at T+L during her time with the Corporate Marketing team.
